Adding to the longest winning streak in MAIS AA District 5 this week, Adams County Christian beat Central Hinds Academy 49-28. The victory was the sixth in a row for the Rebels.

Prentiss Christian and Heidelberg Academy played the closest game in the league this week, with Prentiss Christian eventually emerging with a 14-13 victory.

Adams County Christian's offense was unstoppable this week, as it produced the league's top passer, rusher and receiver. Tyler Stockstill threw for 191 and 3 touchdowns and Parker Rymer had 71 yards receiving. On the ground Lester Wells contributed 201 yards. Trey Fleming helped Adams County Christian's passing attack out by catching 3 balls for 63 yards.

David King's team's dynamic duo of Stockstill and Rymer proved tough for the Cougars to stop, as they were the top passer and receiver in the league this week. Fleming helped Adams County Christian's passing attack out by catching 3 balls for 63 yards.

He was 7-14 with 2 interceptions.

Brookhaven Academy's Heath Hickman and Jacob Thurman led the league in both passing and receiving yards. 5-11 quarterback Hickman has thrown for 1,143 yards this season, while Thurman has 27 catches for 365 yards. Wells from the Rebels leads the league in rushing with 625 yards.

One of MAIS AA District 5's premier quarterbacks will face off with its top pass rusher when the Cougars and Adams County Christian face off next week.

A big matchup in the league this week will be when Brookhaven Academy takes on the Rebels. At the moment, Tripp McCarty's team is in third, while Adams County Christian is in first.

There should be lots of points scored when the Cougars and the Rebels face off this week. The top two offenses in the league, Brookhaven Academy comes in having scored 181 this season, while Adams County Christian has scored 332. The Cougars scored 21 points last week as they defeated Copiah Academy.

The Rebels led the league in scoring this week after putting up 49 points on Central Hinds Academy. Stockstill ran for 24 yards in the win.
