Merrimack waltzed into their matchup on Friday with eight straight wins... but they left with nine. They blew past the Bedford Bulldogs 9-1. The Tomahawks have seen this before: they got the W the last time they saw the Bulldogs, too.

Merrimack's win was their sixth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 12-4-1. The home victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 3.2 runs on average over those games. As for Bedford, they are on a five-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-16.

We've got plenty of inter-league action coming up soon. Merrimack is set to face off against their familiar foe Nashua North at 4:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Meanwhile, Bedford will square off against rival Alvirne at 5:00 p.m. on Monday.
