Jerome hadn't done well against Burley recently (they were 0-9 in their previous nine matchups), but they didn't let the past get in their way on Wednesday. The Tigers walked away with a 3-1 victory over the Bobcats. The win was some much needed relief for the Tigers as it spelled an end to their three-game losing streak.

Jerome walked away with the victory (and looked especially good in the first set). Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-13, 24-26, 25-19, 25-20.

Jerome picked up their first home win, bumping their record up to 4-13. As for Burley, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost five of their last six games. That's put a noticeable dent in their 5-9 record this season.

We've got plenty of inter-conference action coming up soon. Jerome is set to square off against their familiar foe Twin Falls at 6:00 p.m. on Monday. Meanwhile, Burley will face off against rival Wood River at 7:30 p.m. on Monday.
