Softball Recap: Roseburg Drops Highest Score of Season Against Willamette

Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Roseburg). Their pitcher stepped up to hand the Willamette Wolverines a 12-0 shutout on Tuesday. The win continues a trend for the Indians in their matchups with the Wolverines: they've now won seven in a row.

Roseburg let Ciera Singleton and Cambria Bachmeier run wild. Singleton went 2-for-3 with one home run, three runs, and three RBI, while Bachmeier went 2-for-3 with one home run, three RBI, and two runs. Those three runs gave Singleton a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Terra Singleton, who scored three runs and stole a base while going 2-for-4.

They weren't the only ones working in the home run department: Roseburg lost a few balls and finished the game with two home runs. That's the most home runs they've managed all season.

Roseburg's record now sits at 7-0. As for Willamette, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 5-2.
