Basketball Recap: Five Straight Road Wins for Oak Hall

After losing to St. Joseph Academy the last time they met, Oak Hall decided to demonstrate that turnabout is fair play. The Oak Hall Eagles were the clear victor by a 33-7 margin over the St. Joseph Academy Flashes on Saturday. The game was all but wrapped up at the end of the third, by which point the Eagles had established a 20 point advantage.

Oak Hall's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Alexis Thur De Koor led the charge by putting up six points. The dominant performance gave Thur De Koor a new career-high in points. Sarah Miller was another key player, posting five points and six steals.

Oak Hall pushed their record up to 5-1 with the win, which was their fifth straight on the road dating back to last season. The wins came thanks to their defensive effort, having only surrendered 18.2 points per game. As for St. Joseph Academy, they are on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-5.

Oak Hall wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next contest, a 45-27 loss against Chiefland on the 10th. As for St. Joseph Academy, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next matchup, a 48-29 defeat against Old Plank Christian Academy on the 10th.
