Basketball Recap: Worthington Takes a Loss

Worthington was the 64-46 winner over Fairmont when they last played one another back in January of 2024, but their luck changed this time around. The Worthington Trojans took a 65-48 bruising from the Fairmont Cardinals on Friday. While losing is never fun, the Trojans can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Minnesota basketball rankings (they are ranked 248th, while the Cardinals are ranked 89th).

Worthington is on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 3-11. As for Fairmont, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 10-4.

Coincidentally, both will both be playing Marshall the next time they take the court. Fairmont will head out to face Marshall at 2:30 p.m. on Saturday, while Worthington will host them at 7:15 p.m. on Tuesday.
