Basketball Game Preview: Guymon Tigers vs. Carl Albert Titans

The Guymon Tigers will venture away from home to challenge the Carl Albert Titans at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. Both squads will be entering this one on the heels of a big victory.

Last Tuesday, Guymon took their matchup with ease, bagging an 87-12 victory over Santa Fe South. Given the Tigers' advantage in MaxPreps' Oklahoma basketball rankings (they are ranked 210th, while the Saints are ranked 462nd), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Meanwhile, Carl Albert entered their tilt with Noble on Tuesday with ten consecutive wins but they'll enter their next game with 11. They claimed a resounding 71-38 win over the Bears.

Carl Albert's victory was their 11th straight at home, which pushed their record up to 20-1. They've dominated over that stretch too, winning by an average of 33.5 points. As for Guymon, they have been performing well recently as they've won four of their last five contests, which provided a massive bump to their 10-7 record this season.

Guymon came up short against Carl Albert in their previous matchup back in December of 2024, falling 54-46. Can Guymon avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
