Baseball Preview: Marmion Cadets vs. Montini Catholic Broncos        
        
		
            The Marmion Cadets will square off against the Montini Catholic Broncos at 4:30  p.m.  on Monday. Expect the scorekeeper to be kept busy: if their previous games are any indication, these teams will really light up the scoreboard.
Marmion hadn't beaten Fenwick on the road since April 12, 2017 but that history sure didn't bother them  on Saturday. The Cadets narrowly escaped with a  victory as the  team sidled past the Friars  10-9.
 Ethan Flores was a  major factor while hitting and pitching. On the mound, he  tossed one inning while giving up   no  earned runs off   one  hit. Flores was also big at the plate,  getting on base  in three of his four plate appearances with one  run and one  double.

 In other batting news,  the team  relied heavily on  Trajan Storto-Featherson, who  got on base  in all four of his plate appearances with three  RBI, two  runs,  and one  stolen base. Those  three  RBI gave  him a new career-high. Another player making a difference was  Kevin Schultz, who  went 2-for-5 with one  home run, three  RBI,  and one  double.
 Meanwhile,  there's no place like home for Montini Catholic, who bounced back after a  loss on the road  on Friday. They put the hurt on De La Salle with a sharp  14-3 win on Saturday. The result was nothing new for the Broncos, who have now won nine games by six  runs or more  so far this season.
 Montini Catholic pushed their record up to 15-8 with the  victory, which was their fifth straight  at home. The  home  wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as  they  averaged 9.4 runs over those games. As for Marmion, they are  on a roll lately: they've  won four of their last five contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 14-9-1 record  this season.
