Basketball Recap: Winnacunnet Makes It Three in a Row at Home

Winnacunnet lost to Merrimack back in December of 2023, but they didn't allow them the same satisfaction on Friday. The Winnacunnet Warriors walked away with a 63-51 victory over the Merrimack Tomahawks. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Warriors.

Winnacunnet's win was their third straight at home, which pushed their record up to 4-11. The wins came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 63.0 points over those games. As for Merrimack, they are on a 13-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-15.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Winnacunnet will welcome Timberlane at 6:00 p.m. on Monday. Timberlane will roll in looking for their fifth straight victory, something Winnacunnet surely won't give up without a fight. As for Merrimack, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Exeter at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
