League recap: Miller-McCoy Academy rises in rankings with win

Miller-McCoy Academy made the biggest jump in the national rankings this week, rising to 9,203 from 9,499. The improvement was the result of 42-0 victory over Miller-McCoy Academy last week.

Wright's offense was tough to stop this week, as it produced the league's top passer, rusher and receiver. Anthony Oates threw for 30 yards and Brandon Devall had 10 yards receiving. On the ground Oates chipped in 17 yards. Rodney Clark helped Wright's passing attack out by catching one ball for eight yards.

Oates has thrown for 661 yards and seven touchdowns this season, while Antoine Oates has nine catches for 243 yards. Oates also leads the league in rushing with 520 yards.

A big matchup in the league this week will be when Wright takes on Lake Area New Tech. Wright is currently in fourth, while Lake Area New Tech is in ninth.
