Softball Recap: Laurel Triumphs

Laurel won the last time they faced New Castle and things went their way on Friday too. Laurel came out on top against New Castle by a score of 14-10.

Hailey Fell was a standout: she went 4-for-5 with three runs, three doubles, and two RBI. The team also got some help courtesy of Mayci Lang, who scored three runs and stole a base while going 2-for-4.

Fell wasn't the only one working in the hit department: Laurel kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 15 hits. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as New Castle only managed ten hits.

Laurel now has a winning record of 2-1. As for New Castle, their defeat was their first of the season and also makes their record 2-1.

Looking ahead, Laurel will take on Mohawk Area at 5:00 p.m. on Monday. As for New Castle, they will challenge Upper St. Clair at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday.
