Football Recap: Garden Grove Falls to Los Amigos in First Game of Season

Garden Grove had to hit the road for their first game and it wasn't the result they were hoping for. They fell 42-36 to the Los Amigos Lobos on Friday. Sadly, the defeat continues a streak the team started last season, making it ten in a row.

Despite the loss, Garden Grove still got an impressive performance from Quentin Pacelli, who rushed for 380 yards and four scores while picking up 18.1 yards per carry. Pacelli really tore up the turf during one magnificent 90-yard run.

Even if they lost, Garden Grove's defensive line still kept up the pressure with three sacks. In fact, those sacks all came courtesy of defensive juggernaut Noe Calderon.

Looking ahead, Garden Grove will challenge Pacifica at 8:30 p.m. on Friday. As for Los Amigos, they will head out to square off against Silver Valley at 6:00 p.m. on Friday.
