Basketball Recap: East Bernard's Luck Takes a Turn for the Worse on Thursday

It was a good run, but East Bernard unfortunately witnessed the end of their four-game winning streak on Thursday. They fell just short of the Paris Wildcats by a score of 45-43. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest loss the Brahmas have suffered since February 9th.

Despite the loss, East Bernard still got an impressive performance from Ashlynn Lemos, who went 9 for 20 on her way to 22 points and six steals. Lemos has been hot for a while, having posted two or more steals the last 24 times she's played. Malaya Thomas was another key player, putting up eight points along with six rebounds and five assists.

East Bernard's defeat dropped their record down to 14-5. As for Paris, they are on a roll lately: they've won five of their last six games, which provided a nice bump to their 11-8 record this season.

East Bernard didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 58-55 loss against Madisonville on the 26th. As for Paris, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next match, a 34-30 defeat against Marlin on the 27th.
