Notre Dame-Cathedral Latin had already won seven in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 4.1 runs) and they went ahead and made it eight on Monday. They put the hurt on the Holy Name Green Wave with a sharp 6-0 win. The result was nothing new for the Lions, who have now won three matches by six runs or more so far this season.

Charlie O'Dale tossed a big game, not allowing a single earned run while striking out six over 4.1 innings pitched. He has been consistent recently: he hasn't given up more than one earned run in three consecutive appearances.

On the hitting side, Frankie Clark was excellent, going 1-for-3 with one stolen base, two RBI, and one run. That's the most RBI he has posted since back in May of 2024. The team also got some help courtesy of Keenan Ryans, who went a perfect 2-for-2 with two stolen bases and one run.

Notre Dame-Cathedral Latin pushed their record up to 8-1 with the victory, which was their fifth straight on the road. Those road wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 7.6 runs over those games. As for Holy Name, their loss dropped their record down to 5-7-1.

Notre Dame-Cathedral Latin will have a chance to go back-to-back against the Green Wave: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
