Basketball Recap: Valley Regional Falls Despite Big Games from Rex Grabowski and Braden Evans

Valley Regional lost against Cromwell back in December of 2024 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. The Valley Regional Warriors took a 54-45 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Cromwell Panthers.

Valley Regional's loss shouldn't obscure the performances of Braden Evans, who went 6 of 10 en route to 15 points and three steals, and Rex Grabowski, who almost dropped a double-double with nine points and 11 rebounds. Grabowski is also on a roll when it comes to blocks, as he's now posted two or more in the last nine games he's played. Noah Dolinsky was another key player, putting up 13 points.

Valley Regional has been struggling recently as they've lost six of their last seven contests, which has put a noticeable dent in their 6-12 record this season. As for Cromwell, the win was the third in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 11-5.

Valley Regional has already played their next game (against Haddam-Killingworth), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing. As for Cromwell, they have already played their next matchup, a 50-44 victory against North Branford on the 10th.
