Preview: New Egypt vs. Lindenwold
On Friday New Egypt take on Lindenwold at 7:00 PM. New Egypt are expected to win -- but not by much -- so they will need to come into the match prepared for a fight.
Last Friday, New Egypt were within striking distance but couldn't close the gap, as they fell 14-20 to Burlington City. New Egypt got a solid performance out of senior Bobby Farrand, who rushed for 100 yards and 1 touchdown; unfortunately, it just wasn't enough for the win.
Meanwhile, Lindenwold couldn't capitalize on their home-field advantage in their season opener. They fell to Gateway Regional 0-14.
Given their recent losses, both teams have a little extra motivation heading into this weekend. The New Egypt defense got after the quarterback against Burlington City to the tune of 5.5 sacks, so Lindenwold's offensive line better have put in some good practice this past week in preparation for the matchup.
