Basketball Recap: Waxahachie's Higher State Rank on Full Display on Friday

After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Cedar Hill, Waxahachie was happy to have turned things around on Friday. They walked away with a 56-47 victory over the Skyline Raiders. Given the Indians' advantage in MaxPreps' Texas basketball rankings (they are ranked 238th, while the Raiders are ranked 533rd), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Kamarie Hardeman was her usual excellent self, dropping a double-double on 15 points and ten rebounds. The team also got some help courtesy of Brooke Bizzell, who posted eight points and six steals.

Waxahachie smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 13 offensive rebounds. That's the most offensive boards they've posted since back in December of 2024.

Waxahachie's win bumped their record up to 14-16. As for Skyline, they are on a nine-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 6-23.

Waxahachie wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next match, a 67-32 defeat against Lancaster on the 4th. Skyline has also already played their next contest, a 57-35 loss against DeSoto on the 4th.
