Preview: Jefferson vs. Atlanta
If the MaxPreps state rankings hold true, the near future looks bright for Jefferson. They hope to keep the momentum going despite having enjoyed some extra time before their next matchup against Atlanta at 7:30 PM on Friday. Since neither squad is a stranger to landslide victories this season, you'd better bet it will be hard-fought showdown.
Two weeks ago, Jefferson secured a 20-14 W over Mt. Vernon. Junior Dee Black was the offensive standout of the match for Jefferson, as he rushed for 179 yards and 1 touchdown. Black has been a consistent playmaker for Jefferson as this was the 7th good game in a row from him.
Meanwhile, Atlanta might be getting used to good results now that the team has four wins in a row. They strolled past Mt. Vernon with points to spare last Friday, taking the game 41-22.
