Volleyball Recap: Turtle Lake's Win on Tuesday Extends Winning Streak to Four

Turtle Lake came tearing into Tuesday's matchup with three straight wins , and they left with even more momentum. They were the clear victors by a 3-0 margin over the Northwood Evergreens. The Lakers not only won on Tuesday, but they posted their biggest win since October 17, 2024 (when they won 3-0).

Turtle Lake not only won, but also showed off some consistency: they kept Northwood between 14 and 16 points across their sets. The match finished with set scores of 25-15, 25-16, 25-14.

Ashlyn Hubbard paced Turtle Lake's offense, picking up 11 kills. Hubbard got some help from Lacey Popenhagen and her 24 assists. Popenhagen was also solid from the service line: she led the team with four aces.

Turtle Lake's victory bumped their record up to 11-9. As for Northwood, they dropped their record down to 1-6 with the loss, which was their fourth straight at home.

Looking ahead, Turtle Lake will be taking part in a tournament against Spooner at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday. As for Northwood, they will take on Mercer in a tournament on Saturday.
