Basketball Recap: Illinois C Takes a Loss

Illinois C was not able to break out of their rough patch on Monday as the team picked up their 12th straight loss. They took a 48-38 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Kansas City East Christian Academy Lions.

Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Kansas City East Christian Academy to victory, but perhaps none more so than Maddox Carrillo, who almost dropped a double-double with 12 points and nine rebounds. That's the most boards Carrillo has posted since back in December of 2024. Another player making a difference was Damian Law, who scored 12 points and three steals.

Illinois C's defeat dropped their record down to 1-14. As for Kansas City East Christian Academy, their win bumped their record up to 16-21.

Illinois C does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Kansas City East Christian Academy, they didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next game, a 92-80 loss against Varsity Opponent on the 11th.
