Baseball Recap: St. Joseph's Win on Tuesday Extends Winning Streak to Three

Two teams were on the hunt for playoff glory, but only St. Joseph walked away with it. They never let the Cedar Grove-Belgium Rockets get on the board and left with a 4-0 victory on Tuesday. Winning may never get old, but the Lancers sure are getting used to it with their third in a row.

Dominic Santarelli made a big impact while hitting and pitching. He pitched two innings while giving up no earned runs or hits. What's more, he posted two strikeouts, the most he's had since back in April. He was also big at the plate, going 1-for-3 with one home run and two runs.

In other batting news, Peter Visconti was excellent, going 1-for-3 with one stolen base and two RBI. Another player making a difference was Chris Kenesie, who went 1-for-3 with one triple.

St. Joseph's win bumped their record up to 24-7. As for Cedar Grove-Belgium, their defeat ended a three-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 22-5.

As of now, neither St. Joseph nor the Rockets have any future games scheduled.
