Baseball Recap: Merritt Takes a Loss

Merritt was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their third straight defeat. They took a 12-7 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Mountain View-Gotebo Tigers. The Oilers were not able to make up for their loss to the Tigers from their previous meeting back in April of 2019.

Merritt's defeat dropped their record down to 2-5. As for Mountain View-Gotebo, they have been performing well recently as they've won five of their last six matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 8-6 record this season.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Merritt will challenge Hollis at 6:00 p.m. on Monday. As for Mountain View-Gotebo, they will square off against Canute at 4:30 p.m. on Monday. Canute will roll in looking for their fourth straight win, something Mountain View-Gotebo surely won't give up without a fight.
