Volleyball Recap: Beloit Takes a Loss

Beloit and Ellsworth squared off in some playoff action on Saturday, but Beloit had to settle for second. They took a 2-0 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Bearcats. The Trojans were not able to repeat the success they had when they faced the Bearcats earlier this season, when they won 2-1.

While Beloit had to settle for second, they sure made a game of it, scoring at least 19 points in every set they played. The final score came out to 25-20, 25-19.

Brecken Boudreaux paced Beloit's offense, picking up five kills. Boudreaux got some help from Addyson Channell and her 11 assists.

This is the second loss in a row for Beloit and nudges their season record down to 29-10. As for Ellsworth, they are on a roll lately: they've won eight of their last nine matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 32-8 record this season.

Beloit does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Ellsworth, they have already played their next matchup, a 2-1 defeat against Trinity Academy on the 30th.
