Preview: Altoona Mountain Lions vs. Central Dauphin Rams
Altoona is 0-5 against Central Dauphin since October of 2018 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Friday. The Altoona Mountain Lions will head out on the road to face off against the Central Dauphin Rams at 7:00 p.m. Altoona should still be feeling good after a big win, while Central Dauphin will be looking to get back into the win column.
Altoona's three-game losing streak came to an end two Fridays ago. They took down Chambersburg 25-7.
Bron Mosley had an outrageously good game as he rushed for 267 yards and three touchdowns while picking up 7.6 yards per carry. Mosley's longest rush was for an incredible 90 yards.
Meanwhile, Central Dauphin's game on Friday was all tied up 7-7 at the half, but sadly for them it didn't stay that way. They fell to Cumberland Valley 19-14. The defeat unfortunately continues a disappointing trend for Central Dauphin in their matchups with Cumberland Valley: they've now lost three in a row.
Although Central Dauphin took the loss, they still got scores from Kyle Mccullough and Mason Wydra.
Even if they lost, Central Dauphin's defense still kept up the pressure with three sacks. Leading the way was Jett Franz and his two sacks.
Altoona's victory two Fridays ago bumped their record up to 3-4. As for Central Dauphin, their defeat on Friday dropped their record down to 4-3.
Altoona might still be hurting after the 34-14 loss they got from Central Dauphin in their previous meeting back in October of 2022. Thankfully for Altoona, David Chase (who rushed for 161 yards and four touchdowns while picking up 8.5 yards per carry) won't be suiting up this time. Will that be enough to change the final result? There's only one way to find out.
