Baseball Recap: Pattonville Comes Up Short

The Pattonville Pirates didn't have quite enough to beat the De Smet Jesuit Spartans on Wednesday and fell 8-7. The Pirates have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Pattonville's defeat was their first in the district, dropping their district record down to 3-1 and their overall record down to 16-15-1. As for De Smet Jesuit, the victory was the fifth in a row for them, bringing their record up to 16-16.

Pattonville does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for De Smet Jesuit, they didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next contest, a 4-2 win against Christian Brothers on the 24th.
