Basketball Recap: Promise Prepatory Academy Warriors vs. Bible Baptist Christian Eagles
The Promise Prepatory Academy Warriors fought the good fight in their overtime matchup against the Bible Baptist Christian Eagles on Friday but wound up with a less-than-desirable result. They took a 82-72 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Eagles. Having run the score up that high, both teams might be doing some extra defensive drills very soon.
Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Bible Baptist Christian to victory, but perhaps none more so than Trent Hamilton, who scored 25 points along with seven rebounds and four steals. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Hamilton has scored all season. Another player making a difference was Michael Greene, who scored 25 points.
Promise Prepatory Academy has traveled a rocky road recently having lost six of their last eight matches, which put a noticeable dent in their 5-7 record this season. As for Bible Baptist Christian, the win was the fifth in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 13-3.
Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Promise Prepatory Academy is on the road again on Tuesday and plays the at 7:00 p.m. on February 6th. Maranatha Christian Academy knows how to get points on the board -- the squad has finished with flashy point totals in its past seven games -- so hopefully the Warriors like a good challenge. As for Bible Baptist Christian, they will head out on the road to challenge the Crusader at 5:00 p.m. on Monday. Grace Christian is still on the hunt for that elusive first 'W'.
