Basketball Game Preview: East vs. Archbishop Hoban Knights

East will head out to take on the Archbishop Hoban Knights at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Expect the scorekeeper to be kept busy: if their previous games are any indication, the two teams will really light up the scoreboard.

East can't be too worried about heading out to take on Archbishop Hoban: they just beat Madison at home, who had been dominant on their own court up to that point. East snuck past Madison with a 59-55 victory on Friday.

Meanwhile, Archbishop Hoban didn't have too much trouble with Midview on Saturday as they won 69-53. Given the Knights' advantage in MaxPreps' Ohio basketball rankings (they are ranked 35th, while the Middies are ranked 653rd), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Archbishop Hoban pushed their record up to 18-5 with the win, which was their 16th straight at home dating back to last season. Those victories came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 72.1 points over those games. As for East, the victory was their first on the road , bumping their record up to 4-19.

East ended up a good deal behind Archbishop Hoban in their previous matchup back in February of 2015, losing 61-45. Can East avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
