Football Game Preview: Thurston Colts vs. South Eugene Axe

Thurston's defense heads into the contest hoping to repeat the dominance they displayed on Thursday. They put the hurt on Monroe with a sharp 26-0 win. The Colts might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won five matches by 20 points or more this season.

Meanwhile, South Eugene faced Springfield in a battle between two of the state's top teams on Thursday. The Axe came out on top against the Millers by a score of 26-18.

Thurston's victory was their eighth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 10-0. The home wins came thanks in part to their defensive effort, having only surrendered 7.1 points on average over those games. As for South Eugene, they have been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four games. That's provided a nice bump to their 4-3 record this season.
