Basketball Recap: Peter Socci Leads a Balanced Attack to Beat Lake Station Edison

With a playoff win on the line, Hebron rose to the challenge on Wednesday. They managed a 69-65 victory over the Lake Station Edison Fighting Eagles. That's the second time they've managed to beat them this season, as they also won 67-57 back in January.

Hebron's win was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Peter Socci, who shot 67% from the field on his way to 33 points and three blocks. Those three blocks gave Socci a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Spencer Wynsma, who went 9-for-16 en route to 23 points and five rebounds.

Hebron's victory bumped their record up to 14-9. As for Lake Station Edison, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost 13 of their last 14 matchups. That's put a noticeable dent in their 5-19 record this season.

Hebron will take on Boone Grove at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Hebron is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 58.8 points per game this season. Lake Station Edison does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
