Baseball Recap: Casady Comes Up Short

Thursday just wasn't the day for Casady's offense. They fell 4-0 to the Vanoss Wolves on Thursday. Having soared to a lofty 12 runs in the game before, the Cyclones' shutout was a dramatic turnaround.

Max Geib put in work while hitting and pitching. On the mound, he tossed two innings while giving up no earned runs off one hit. He has been nothing but reliable: he hasn't given up more than two walks in five consecutive appearances. He was also big at the plate, going a perfect 2-for-2 with one stolen base.

Geib wasn't the only one making solid contact as three players wound up with at least one hit. One of them was Kyler Tice, who went 2-for-3 with one stolen base.

Casady now has a losing record of 5-6. As for Vanoss, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 7-11.

Casady wasted no time getting back out on the field and has already played their next matchup, a 13-2 victory against Little Axe on the 11th. As for Vanoss, they will challenge Wynnewood at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
