Volleyball Recap: Southeastern Homeschool Has No Trouble Against Johnston County Home Educators

It was a proper cat-fight when Southeastern HomeSchool faced off against Johnston County Home Educators on Saturday. The Cardinals put the hurt on the Jaguars with a sharp 3-0 win. The Cardinals haven't had any issues with the Jaguars recently, as the game was their fifth consecutive victory against them.

While Southeastern HomeSchool won a shutout, things came down to the wire in the third set they played. The final score came out to 25-7, 25-14, 25-22.

Emily Batts paced Southeastern HomeSchool's offense, picking up 11 kills. Batts got some help from Alana Surigao and her 16 assists. Surigao was also solid from the service line: she led the team with five aces.

Southeastern HomeSchool now has a winning record of 3-2.

After both having extra time off, Southeastern HomeSchool and Fayetteville HomeSchool will shake off the cobwebs and hit the court against one another at 6:30 p.m. on Friday. As for Johnston County Home Educators, they will have a little extra prep time after the defeat as they won't be playing again for a while. They'll take on Neuse Christian Academy at 6:30 p.m. on September 15.
