The biggest upset of the week belonged to El Modena, who took down 343rd ranked El Modena, 34-28. Corey Elsasser threw for 204 yards and three touchdowns and ran for three yards in the win.
Villa Park extended the longest winning streak in Century this week by beating Brea Olinda, 31-26. The victory was the fifth in a row for the Spartans.
Chris Prescott was the best wideout in the league this week as Canyon beat the Vanguards. Prescott tallied nine receptions for 204 yards.
Meki Tafuna was the most productive running back in the league this week. He ran for 130 yards on 21 carries as Villa Park defeated El Modena. Mike Vega also contributed to the rushing game with 40 yards on the ground.
Jack Gilchrist put up the best numbers through the air as Foothill bested El Dorado. He finished with a total of 12 completions for 174 yards and four touchdowns. Gilchrist's favorite target this week was Julian Moss, who caught four passes for 95 yards.
6-foot-0 quarterback Gilchrist of the Knights is the league leader in passing yards this season with 1490. He has also thrown 15 touchdowns. On the ground, Canyon's Troy Kurtz has rushed for 883 yards which leads the league. The leading receiver in the league this season is Prescott. The Canyon star has 45 catches for 693 yards.
A big matchup in the league this week will be when Foothill takes on the Wildcats. Doug Case's team is in second place, while Brea Olinda is in fourth place.
Brent Mckee's team moved up to 334 from 396 in the state rankings this week, the biggest jump in the league. The Comanches climbed the ranks as a result of beating the Vanguards 34-28.
