Softball Recap: Banning Takes a Loss

Banning came into their game on Thursday off a hard-fought close win, but unfortunately suffered a serious change of fortune. They lost 11-1 to the Torrance Tartars. The defeat continues a trend for the Pilots in their matchups with the Tartars: they've now lost four in a row.

Kourtney Talanoa was cooking despite her team's loss, going 1-for-2 with one home run.

Banning now has a losing record of 1-2. As for Torrance, the victory (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 3-0.

Looking ahead, Banning will challenge Long Beach Poly at 3:15 p.m. on Friday. As for Torrance, they will take on Mater Dei in a tournament on Thursday. One thing working in Torrance's favor is that they have posted at least ten runs every time they've taken the field this season.
