Volleyball Recap: Duchesne Takes a Loss

Duchesne was not able to break out of their rough patch on Saturday as the team picked up their seventh straight loss. They fell 2-0 to the Maryville Christian Lions. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Lions this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 2-1 two weeks ago.

Bryce Rogles paced Duchesne's offense, picking up six kills. Rogles got some help from Landon Mccarthy and his nine assists. Rogles also made an impact serving: he shared the team lead in aces with Tyler Severs, racking up two apiece.

Duchesne's defeat dropped their record down to 6-14-1. As for Maryville Christian, the win snapped their losing streak at three games and leaves them with a 7-7 record.

Looking ahead, Duchesne will square off against Collegiate Medicine & Bioscience at 5:00 p.m. on Monday. As for Maryville Christian, they will get to enjoy the win for a while: their next game is against First Baptist Academy at 5:00 p.m. on the 22nd.
