Basketball Recap: Frederick Piles Up the Points Against Westlake

Frederick had to skate by with only a two-point margin when they last took the court, which might have inspired the 31-point drubbing they dealt Westlake on Saturday. The Frederick Cadets simply couldn't be stopped as they easily beat the Westlake Wolverines 47-16.

Frederick's victory bumped their record up to 2-0. As for Westlake, their loss was their first of the season and makes their record 3-1.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Frederick and South Hagerstown will compete for holiday cheer at 6:00 p.m. on Monday. As for Westlake, they are taking a road trip to challenge St. Mary's Ryken at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. St. Mary's Ryken will roll in looking for their sixth straight win, something Westlake surely won't give up without a fight.
