Volleyball Recap: George Walton Academy Takes a Loss

George Walton Academy was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their third straight defeat. They fell 3-1 to the Social Circle Redskins. If the Bulldogs were looking for revenge after losing 2-1 to the Redskins when the teams met back in August of 2024, then they'll just have to keep looking.

George Walton Academy couldn't get the W, but boy did they fight for it: two sets took extra rallies. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-17, 26-24, 19-25, 26-24.

George Walton Academy now has a losing record of 3-4. As for Social Circle, their win bumped their record up to an identical 3-4.

While George Walton Academy had to take the loss, they won't have to wait long to give it another shot: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 8:00 a.m. on Saturday.
