Plainview and Canyon are an even 5-5 against one another since February of 2017, but not for long. The Bulldogs will head out on the road to challenge the Eagles at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. Both teams took a loss in their last game, so they'll have plenty of motivation to get the 'W'.

On Tuesday, Plainview was within striking distance but couldn't close the gap as they fell 67-61 to Dumas. Despite running the score up even higher than they did in their prior game on Friday (57), the Bulldogs still had to take the loss.

Plainview might have lost, but man, Dominic Fulton was a machine: he dropped a double-double with 32 points and 12 boards. Another player making a difference was Jae'Breon Wideman, who posted eight points.

Meanwhile, Canyon had to start their season on the road on Tuesday, and it wasn't the start they were hoping for. They took a 63-48 bruising from Amarillo.

Plainview beat Canyon 68-57 in their previous matchup back in November of 2024. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Bulldogs since the team won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
