Softball Recap: Southern Choctaw's Loss Ends Six-Game Winning Streak at Home

If Southern Choctaw was riding high fresh off their 30-8 takedown of Millry last Thursday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Southern Choctaw Indians lost 8-1 to the Leroy Bears on Tuesday. The game marked the Indians' lowest-scoring contest so far this season.

Southern Choctaw's loss ended a six-game streak of wins at home dating back to last season and dropped them to 5-5-1. The wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 17.3 runs over those games. As for Leroy, they now have a winning record of 7-6.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Southern Choctaw will challenge Choctaw County at 1:00 p.m. on Thursday. The matchup will give Choctaw County their first taste of in-conferenceaction this season. As for Leroy, they will venture away from home to face off against Millry at 9:00 a.m. on Thursday.
