Volleyball Recap: Gilbert Finds Home Court Redemption Against St. Paul Catholic

There's no place like home for Gilbert, who bounced back after a loss on the road back in September. Everything went their way against the St. Paul Catholic Falcons on Monday as they made off with a 3-0 victory. This was payback for the Yellowjackets, who suffered a 3-1 defeat the last time these two teams met.

Gilbert never let St. Paul Catholic on the board, but things got pretty close in the third set. The match finished with set scores of 25-18, 25-21, 25-22.

Gilbert's first win this season bumped their record up to 1-2. As for St. Paul Catholic, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 10-10.

Coming up, Gilbert will head out on the road to take on Northwestern Regional at 5:15 p.m. on Friday. St. Paul Catholic does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
