Basketball Recap: Franklin Cougars vs. Pebble Hills Spartans
Pebble Hills typically has all the answers at home, but on Tuesday Franklin proved too difficult a challenge. They pulled ahead with a 63-62 photo finish over the Pebble Hills Spartans. Winning may never get old, but the Cougars sure are getting used to it with their third in a row.

Franklin's win was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Allison De La O, who went 9 for 19 en route to 25 points and seven boards. The dominant performance gave De La O a new career-high in points. The team also got some help courtesy of Emma Balsiger, who dropped a double-double on 16 points and 13 rebounds.
When it comes to explaining why Pebble Hills lost, don't look at Jordan Sapien. Despite the final result, she went 12 of 25 on her way to 31 points in addition to eight steals and seven assists. Pebble Hills is undefeated when Sapien posts 20 or more points, but 3-7 otherwise. Another player making a difference was Mia Delgado, who almost dropped a double-double on nine points and 17 boards.
Franklin's victory bumped their record up to 21-9. As for Pebble Hills, their loss ended a five-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 24-7.
