Baseball Recap: St. Martin Comes Up Short

St. Martin lost against Ocean Springs back in March of 2024, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Tuesday. St. Martin fell just short of Ocean Springs by a score of 6-4. The Yellow Jackets have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

St. Martin saw six different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Caleb Lawrence, who scored a run while going 3-for-4. That's the most hits Lawrence has posted since back in April of 2024.

Lawrence wasn't the only one working in the hit department: St. Martin kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 11 hits. That's the most hits they've managed all season.

St. Martin's loss dropped their record down to 9-7. As for Ocean Springs, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won ten of their last 12 matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 13-3-1 record this season.

While St. Martin had to take the loss, they won't have to wait long to give it another shot: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
