Two teams were on the hunt for playoff glory, but only Magdalena walked away with it. They blew past the Elida Tigers 69-40 on Friday. The Steers have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won 13 games by 21 points or more this season.

Magdalena's victory was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Jema Ganadonegro, who shot 62% from the field en route to 26 points and seven rebounds. The dominant performance gave Ganadonegro a new career-high in points. Jorianne Mirabal was another key player, going 6-for-11 on her way to 18 points in addition to six assists and three steals.

The win (which was Magdalena's fourth in a row) raised their record to 23-6. As for Elida, their defeat dropped their record down to 17-13.

Coming up, Magdalena will face off against Quemado at 6:30 p.m. on Wednesday. Magdalena is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 51.4 points per game this season. Elida does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
