There's no place like home for Colville, who bounced back after a  loss on the road  on Tuesday. They put the hurt on the Riverside Rams with a sharp  17-1 victory on Saturday. The result was nothing new for the Crimson Hawks, who have now won seven contests by six  runs or more  so far this season.
 Kale Long made a splash while hitting and pitching. He looked comfortable on the mound,   striking out eight batters over  five innings while giving up just one earned run off   three  hits. That's the most  strikeouts  he has posted since back in March of 2024. He was also solid in the batter's box,  going 1-for-2 with two  runs, one  stolen base,  and one  double. That  stolen base marked the first that  he has  snagged this season.
 In other batting news,  the team  relied heavily on  Luke Bateman, who  went 3-for-4 with three  runs, three  RBI,  and one  stolen base. Colville is 4-1 when  Bateman posts two or  more  runs, but 6-10 otherwise. The team also got some help courtesy of  Ficher Hilderbrandt, who  went 3-for-4 with four  RBI.
 Colville  kept the outfield on their toes and  finished the game with 12  hits. They are  a perfect 3-0 when  they post 11 or more  hits.
Colville pushed their record up to 10-11 with the  win, which was their third straight  at home. Those  home  victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 0.7 runs on average over those games. As for Riverside, they have  been struggling recently as they've  lost ten of their last 11 matches. That's put a noticeable dent in their 3-14 record  this season.
 Colville wasted no time getting back out on the field and has already played their next  game,  an  8-5  win against Medical Lake on the 10th. Riverside does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
