Baseball Game Preview: St. Andrew's Cardinals vs. Delcastle Technical Cougars

The St. Andrew's Cardinals will square off against the Delcastle Technical Cougars at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The last five games St. Andrew's has played have been within two runs, so don't be surprised if it's a close one.

On Saturday, St. Andrew's didn't have quite enough to beat Wilmington Friends and fell 3-2.

Meanwhile, Delcastle Technical was not able to break out of their rough patch on Monday as the team picked up their 29th straight loss dating back to last season. They came up short against Odessa, falling 13-0.

Delcastle Technical saw five different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Shane Warrington, who went 1-for-2 with two stolen bases.

St. Andrew's has been struggling recently as they've lost six of their last eight matches. That's put a noticeable dent in their 6-9 record this season. As for Delcastle Technical, their defeat dropped their record down to 0-16.

Everything went St. Andrew's way against Delcastle Technical in their previous meeting back in May of 2024, as St. Andrew's made off with a 15-1 win. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Cardinals since the squad won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
