Basketball Recap: Delta Falls to Monroe Catholic in First Game of Season

Delta kicked off their season on the road on Friday and hit a couple of potholes. They opened the new year with a less-than-successful 71-59 defeat to the Monroe Catholic Rams. If the Huskies were looking for revenge after losing 51-25 to them when the teams met, then they'll just have to keep looking.

Monroe Catholic's win was their seventh straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 5-1.

Delta will be taking part in a tournament against Nenana at 8:00 p.m. on Thursday. Monroe Catholic has already played their next game, a 47-46 loss against Grace Christian on the 4th.
