Lopez came tearing into Friday's game with nine straight wins (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 24.7 points) and they left with even more momentum. Everything went their way against the Mercedes Tigers as they made off with a 38-16 victory. The Lobos have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won 12 matches by 20 points or more this season.

Lopez pushed their record up to 21-9 with the win, which was their fourth straight on the road. The wins came thanks in part to their defensive effort, having only surrendered 22.5 points over those games. As for Mercedes, they have been struggling recently as they've lost four of their last five contests, which has put a noticeable dent in their 14-20 record this season.

Lopez has already played their next game, a 66-58 defeat against Donna on the 4th. As for Mercedes, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next matchup, a 43-37 victory against Pace on the 4th.
