Marlin Jones Crosses Big Stat Threshold
Starting off the list is Huntsville's Marlin Jones, who we judged to be the best player in the league this week. Jones rushed for 167 yards and two touchdowns. He's now once again averaging 100+ rushing yards (109.5) per game. He really tore up the turf during one magnificent 79-yard run.
Jones is probably looking forward to his next game, a home matchup against Albertville on Thursday. Back in October of 2023 (the last time Jones saw the Aggies), he rushed for 165 yards and four touchdowns while picking up 7.2 yards per carry.

Jabari Davis Delivers Best Performance of Season
On Friday, Sparkman had to settle for second even though Jabari Davis put up the best numbers he has all season. Davis rushed for 123 yards and three touchdowns. The effort marked the most rushing yards he has had since back in September of 2023. He is becoming a predictor of Sparkman's success: when he posts at least two rushing touchdowns the team is 2-1 (and 1-3 when he doesn't).
The loss snapped Sparkman's losing streak at three games and leaves them with a 3-4 record. Davis and Sparkman will look to defend their home field on Friday against James Clemens at 7:00 p.m.

Malachi Foster Sets Career High in Rushing Yards
Malachi Foster produced his most outstanding game to date while leading Bob Jones to the win on Friday. Foster rushed for 75 yards and a touchdown, and also picked up 64 receiving yards and a touchdown, good enough to set a new career-high in rushing yards in the process. He really tore up the turf during one magnificent 75-yard run.
On the year, Foster has caught 5 touchdowns while averaging 96.7 receiving yards per game. He's made a big improvement compared to last season: at this point last year, he was only averaging 34.57 receiving yards per game.

Jl Davis Dazzles in Austin Victory
Austin picked up their third consecutive win on Friday thanks in part to Jl Davis. Davis did his part (and then some), throwing for 289 yards and three touchdowns on only 15 passes for the 'W'.
For the year, Davis has thrown 12 touchdowns while averaging 191.5 passing yards per game. He's made a big improvement compared to last season: at this point last year, he had five passing touchdowns.

Matthews Posts Huge Game in 56-37 Defeat
