Basketball Game Preview: Milford Bulldogs vs. Saltillo Lions

The Milford Bulldogs will take on the Saltillo Lions on Thursday. Each of these teams will be fighting to keep a win streak alive as Milford comes in on five and Saltillo on 16.

Milford is on a roll after a high-stakes playoff matchup on Tuesday. In a tight game that could have gone either way, they made off with a 41-40 victory over Avinger.

Milford's success was spearheaded by the efforts of Jaycee Rigsby, who posted 19 points in addition to seven boards and four steals, and Amiya Smith, who went 6-for-12 en route to 13 points along with seven rebounds and five assists. That's the most points Smith has posted since back in December of 2024. Tristyn Hosay was another key player, putting up four points.

Meanwhile, Saltillo didn't have too much breathing room in their matchup against Huckabay on Monday, but they still walked away with a 30-24 win.

Milford's victory was their fourth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 25-6. As for Saltillo, their win bumped their record up to 32-6.
