Soccer Game Preview: East Wake Academy vs. Raleigh Charter

East Wake Academy is 2-8 against Raleigh Charter since March of 2017 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Tuesday. The Eagles will face off against the Phoenix at 4:00 p.m. Neither squad made it on the board the last time they hit the pitch, so they've probably got a bit of extra motivation.

East Wake Academy is headed into Tuesday's contest looking for a big change in momentum after dropping their fourth straight game on Wednesday. They came up short against Franklin Academy, falling 5-0. While losing is never fun, East Wake Academy can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' North Carolina soccer rankings (they are ranked 179th, while Franklin Academy are ranked 13th).

Meanwhile, Wednesday just wasn't the day for Raleigh Charter's offense. They fell 2-0 to Wake Prep Academy on Wednesday.

East Wake Academy's defeat dropped their record down to 7-5. As for Raleigh Charter, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost four of their last five games. That's put a noticeable dent in their 5-5 record this season.

East Wake Academy beat Raleigh Charter by a goal when the teams last played back in March, winning 3-2. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Eagles since the team won't have the home-pitch advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
