Basketball Recap: Frankton Starts Season with Win on the Road

Frankton had to kick off their season on the road on Wednesday, but they showed no ill effects. They walked away with a 56-49 win over the Taylor Titans. That result was just more of the same for these two, as the Eagles also won the last time the pair played back in February.

Frankton's victory was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Ashton Brobston, who shot 83% from the field to rack up 23 points and five rebounds. Trey Bennett was another key player, going 5-for-10 en route to 16 points and seven boards.

Frankton was working as a unit and finished the game with 17 assists. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Taylor only posted four.

Taylor lost despite a true team effort on offense. The best among them was Keyshawn Galloway, who shot 45% from the field on his way to 13 points and six rebounds. The team also got some help courtesy of Drey McClatchey, who posted 16 points.

Looking ahead, Frankton will square off against Lapel at 7:30 p.m. on Saturday. As for Taylor, they will challenge Northfield at 7:30 p.m. on December 5.
